Interfaith Ministries’ Meals on Wheels for Greater Houston and Galveston County program provides home-delivered meals to approximately 4,900 homebound seniors and disabled adults in five counties – Harris, Galveston, Montgomery, Liberty and Chambers. The program also delivers weekend meals and a week’s worth of breakfast to about a some of the most frail and isolated clients. This nutritional support helps people stay independent and in their own homes.
ECHOS has distributed food to more than 36,000 individuals and more than 3,000 individuals have received diapers in their drive-through food pantry alone. The nutritious food distributed at the Food Pantry improves the health of the ECHOS families who suffer from food insecurity and helps to mitigate some of the food insecurity challenges that Houston based families face.
