These art supplies will help Pathways staff start an art therapy group where clients will learn to use art for relaxation and managing anxiety.
These items go into Welcome Home Baskets, which clients are given when they move into their own apartment. They help offset the costs of moving into new housing and help their apartment feel like home.
Our outreach teams serve over 2000 individuals every year who are living on the streets of Washington, DC. Clients can come to our office for showers, so we have a stocked toiletries closet with soap, shampoo, and basic sanitary needs. Help us ensure that we can offer clean clothes, socks, underwear, and sanitary products for people who are experiencing homelessness!
Imagine how difficult it may be to find a restroom to wash your hands when you live in a tent or shelter in a doorway. The cost of hand sanitizer and soap might also be far out of reach for our clients living on fixed incomes. Yet, they can also be the most vulnerable to a virus as they are older and have chronic health conditions. Social distancing is difficult when you rely on a crowded food kitchen for your daily meals. Today, we turn to you for your support as we respond to the needs of our community.
